Sales Manager, Marine (Architecture)
SUMMARY

We are seeking a professional Sales Manager who will facilitate the growth of some of our recent product developments and will prospect for new opportunities on marine vessels. This position will require a minimum of 50% travel in the Gulf of Mexico region (Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi) with focus on shipyards and marine engine service centers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Responsibilities
• Improve territory coverage by establishing relationships with new and existing customers.
• Understand the customer's needs, coordinate activities to meet these needs and generate sales.
• Manage and resolve conflicts.
• Price and contract negotiation.
• Reach out to new customers and establish new accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education and Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in account management, technical sales, project management or equivalent is desired.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience selling to shipyards, service centers or ship owners.
• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in engineering, business (or equivalent) from an accredited institution is a plus.
Travel: +50% (majority in N. America)
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
• Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to prepare and edit information/content for website, write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public. Fluent in English. Written and verbal communications are delivered to the respective “audience” clearly and effectively.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
