Researcher 2 Nat Phys Science - Biomedical Engineering (Finance)

Supervision: Receives minimal supervision conferring with higher levels only in usual situations.
A researcher 2 position is available in a laboratory devoted to biochemical and molecular studies of the mammalian retina in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Houston. The lab employs molecular, cellular, electrophysiological and biochemical approaches to investigate the mechanism of photoreceptor cell death and the application of gene therapy in mice expressing mutant forms of photoreceptor-specific genes that are equivalent to human variants. To work under the directions of the PIs of the lab to perform experiments and provide data to PIs.
Requirements: Bachelor's in biochemistry or cell biology with 3-year experience. Prior experience in molecular biology is preferred.
Experience will be considered in lieu of education.
MQ: Bachelor's Degree with 3 years experience.
