Maintenance Technician - Starting pay $25 per hour (Construction)



The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining all plant equipment with an overall objective of increasing business objectives. 
You will:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and service all plant equipment.
  • Adhere to the plant preventive maintenance program as outlined in PICS and follow proper work order procedures.
  • Locate parts efficiently and effectively utilizing proper parts room checkout procedures.
  • Attend required training sessions to increase knowledge base.
  • Perform all assigned work in a safe manner, upholding Plastipak Environmental, Health and Safety Policy.
  • Perform product changeover on all plant equipment and verify that processes are reliably operating to achieve plant measurables.
  • Be involved in installation projects and/or modifications.
  • Be responsible for maintaining ISO standards.
  • Be responsible for reporting food safety issues to personnel with the authority to initiate action.  
  • Be responsible for on-the-job training of other associates.
  • Miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work a 12-hour shift and a schedule cycle of 2-2-3 (e.g. 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off, 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, repeat).
  • 2-year degree or prior work experience.
  • Team oriented in all job functions.
  • Self-motivated and flexibility of job assignment.
  • Blend of technical, interpersonal skills and continuous learning through training.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
