Postdoctoral Scholar (Finance)
The successful applicant will be expected to isolate, grow, enumerate, and purify phage that infect the marine bacterium Vibrio natriegens under trace metal clean conditions. Through close collaboration with Dr. Kristen Buck's laboratory at Oregon State University, this project will test the hypothesis that marine phage incorporate iron into their structures and represent a significant form of organic dissolved iron in the oceans.
This position is available immediately but there is flexibility in start date. Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled. An annual salary of $65,000 plus benefits is budgeted. Initial appointment will be for one year, with re-appointment anticipated for a total of three years.Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree from an accredited institution and appropriate experience and training within a selected area of specialization. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Postdoctoral Fellow.
