High Voltage Electrician (Finance)

Summary: High voltage work involves the installing, testing, repairing, and maintaining high voltage electric power-controlling equipment and/or distribution lines, The work requires knowledge of electrical principles, procedures, materials, and safety standards governing electrical systems above 600 volts. In addition, the work requires general mechanical skills and knowledge, and in some cases, may require knowledge of electronic principles as they pertain to airfield electronic control circuitry. Work involves: installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications; locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment; working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment; and using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
