Position Title: Asset Specialist, Wireless Solutions - 5E

 

Position Summary

The Asset Specialist is part of the Asset Management Team (AMT) responsible for overseeing the data integrity and managing the input processes of the Asset Management System (AMS).   The Asset Specialist reconciles and verifies the quality of data from AsBuilts, Node Wiring Diagrams, Closeout Packages, Photos, Modifications, Repair & Maintenance, and data corrections feeding the AMS. This team is responsible for desktop certifying the data entered into the system to give users a realistic, evergreen view of Crown's assets managed in the AMS. This tool is a vital part of every phase of the asset lifecycle including Proposal, Contract, Implementation and Operations. Managing the system and the quality of its data is vital to the success of the business.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Effectively reconciles data in the AMS following established process and cycle time guidelines for all aspects of data additions, modifications, enhancements and corrections.
  • Responds to post-construction acceptance requests including but not limited to greenfield/colocation builds, site modifications and repair/maintenance changes to ensure evergreen accuracy of system data.
  • Collaborates with business partners both within the Wireless Solutions group and with their Crown Corporate partners to ensure accurate interpretation and effective use of project documentation and AMS data.
  • Assists with development and maintenance of effective process and quality control procedures for the AMS as well as process and quality control for data shared with other Crown systems and processes.
  • Provides guidance for business partners on effective and efficient use of the AMS. Be an AMS subject matter expert providing timely guidance to system users, escalating issues to the Asset Manager, and providing assistance with system enhancement requirements write-ups.
  • Assists with investigating and testing automation and integration opportunities for the AMS and related systems and processes including the ongoing effort to continuously enhance the use of the AMS as the assets system of record.
  • Assists with identifying reporting requirements to provide a framework for managing and communicating AMS data for department cycle time, milestone status reporting for various departments utilizing the AMS, monthly/ quarterly status and statistic reporting for multiple Fiber Tool user groups.
  • Excellent understanding of corporate systems with ability to effectively interact with IT and other cross-functional partners to assist with requirements for enhancements systems.

 

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.

 

Experience/Minimum Requirements

  • Three (3) to Five (5) years related industry experience preferred.
