Production Operation Supervisor (Manufacturing)
Responsibilities:
Cargill Protein has a diverse 28,000-member team and operates approximately 60 protein primary and further processing facilities, distribution centers, feed mills, hatcheries, and an innovation center in the U.S. and Canada, in addition to maintaining international sales offices. We have an exciting opportunity in our West Columbia S.C facility for a Operations Supervisor.
This position will be responsible for leading hourly team members to attain production and quality goals while ensuring the safest working environment possible. This position is accountable for daily operations of the department and creating an engaged and team-oriented workforce to obtain business results.
A high performer in this position will identify problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolve issues; ensure production resources (including materials, equipment, staffing) are available as needed to maintain product schedules; support continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, efficiency, yield.
Production Operations Supervisor, Day Shift: (i.e. shift, area)

• Actively work to prevent/eliminate hazards that cause injury or illness.
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of manufacturing operations work experience.
• Basic computer literacy – Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Positive attitude and problem-solving mentality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• At least 1-year previous experience in a food or meat processing plant.
• Supervisory experience.
