REO Closing Coordinator (Legal)



Primary Responsibilities

Tasks Performed

If you are chosen for this opportunity, you will be responsible for coordinating closings,of foreclosed residential properties nationwide, between our clients and the buyer and ensuring that these REO properties close in the shortest amount of time for the highest possible sale price to value.

Essential Functions

  • Manage all REO properties that are "under contract"..
  • Review contracts and closing documentsbetween buyer and seller to ensure seller can convey acceptable property title to prospective buyer.
  • Communicate title and closing information to SingleSource team members with the REO asset management department, as well as, external Title companies used during the closing process.
  • Schedule appointment to complete closing process and to answer any questions regarding procedures.
  • Calculate pro-rated balances on mortgages, taxes, and fire insurance premiums, as of closing date, and records balances on closing statement form to provide both parties with accurate and complete financial and legal information regarding property ownership transfer transaction.
  • Contact courthouse personnel, buyer and seller, and other real estate personnel to obtain additional information.
  • Confer with legal counsel regarding legal aspects of closing transactions.
  • Review documents to determine that they have been executed according to regulations and are ready to be recorded.
  • Disburse completed documents to concerned parties to effect transfer of property ownership.
  • Perform other related tasks as the need arises.
