Senior Claims Representative (Administrative)

About the Role:
Are you an experienced claims professional who thrives on resolving complex cases and making a meaningful impact? Join our dynamic claims team as a Senior Claims Representative, where you'll manage a diverse caseload and guide claims from investigation through resolution — all while working within best practices and industry standards.
You'll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver timely, fair, and legally compliant claim settlements that reflect our commitment to integrity and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate, evaluate, and resolve property and casualty claims in accordance with company guidelines, legal statutes, and policy provisions.
Manage an active caseload of 50–275 claims depending on division.
Negotiate settlements, pursue subrogation and salvage opportunities, and document claim files thoroughly.
Communicate effectively with claimants, insureds, legal and medical professionals, agents, and internal teams.
Attend hearings or court proceedings as necessary.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain compliance with internal audit standards.
Participate in catastrophe response efforts as needed.
Apply sound judgment in verifying coverages, reserving, and pursuing the most effective resolution strategies.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's degree or equivalent experience required.
Continuing education or certifications such as AIC, SCLA, or Workers' Compensation courses (PA 10–13) preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in property/casualty claims handling.
Technical Knowledge & Skills:
In-depth understanding of tort law, state regulations, and policy provisions.
Familiarity with insurance-related terminology across medical, legal, automotive, and construction contexts.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and claims management systems.
Strong communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
