CONSTRUCTION PRACTICE
Michael Baker International's Construction Services staff supports clients by acting as their trusted on-site agent through all phases of construction, from pre-design to close-out, by providing qualified construction managers, inspectors, constructability reviewers, schedulers, estimators and safety experts. As new technologies evolve throughout the construction industry, innovative ideas are required to maintain and deliver successful construction projects.
Resident Engineer - Savannah, GA
The Resident Engineer is a construction quality assurance and management role within the Construction Services group of Michael Baker International. Typically located in a field office on a construction project, the Resident Engineer is responsible for the overall management of project Quality Assurance staff, such as Office Engineer, Contract Support Specialists, Quality Assurance Technicians, Materials Sampling & Testing Personnel, and Project Controls Specialists. The Resident Engineer monitors contractor activities for compliance with the contract document, maintains daily records of construction and quality assurance, ensures that all materials incorporated into the project are acceptable per specification, and provides construction management support services to the project Owner, such as federal compliance, schedule review and analysis, and cost estimating.
