Accurately allocates to cost centers by analyzing invoices/expense reports and record entries.
Processes vendor payments, identifies discounts, and matches purchase orders/contracts/invoices.
Complies with multi-state sales and tax regulations.
Investigates and resolves questions or concerns about billing.
Enters invoices into accounting system.
Prepares and processes electronic transfers and payments.
Monitors accounts to ensure payments are current.
Verifies vendor account by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
Implements new process improvement initiatives.
Reduces waste and non-value activities.
Researches invoice discrepancies via 3-Way match and works with purchasing to resolve.
Assists with month -end closing.
Works in a cross-functional team to reduce process, cost, and errors.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Combination of 5 years' experience in school and work.
Required Skills:
Ability to perform daily coding and processing of high volume accounts payable datawithin established time frame and with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to research and resolve complex payables issues.
Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service to internal customers andexternal vendors.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality at all times.
Proficient with MS Office software and use of a PC.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong math and analytical skills.
Strong decision making skills.
Ability to plan and organize work activities with a focus on efficiency.
Ability to work under time constraints with shifting priorities.
Must be able to follow directions and work in a team environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must maintain confidentiality of information within the department and company.
Preferred Education, Skills and Experience:
Experience in AR, AP, GL, Payroll and month-end close.
