PRODUCT MANAGER (Project Management)
Global is seeking a highly motivated, self-starter to take on a Product Manager role within the Product team reporting to our Director of Product Core Platforms. This is a high-level individual contributor role. S/he will be primarily responsible for identifying and driving enhancements to our core products. Critical to success will be gaining a clear understanding of the products used by both internal and external customers. To do so the incumbent will interact with internal leaders and external Debt Settlement Providers to build relationships to clearly understand the voice of our customers and build out a roadmap / strategic vision in support of the identified needs.
This role will oversee assigned product enhancements throughout the product development lifecycle. They will be hands on from request intake through planning, development and go to market. Other aspects of this role include developing analytics to monitor product success and identify new areas of opportunity.
Responsibilities Will Include
- Quickly acquire a working knowledge of the Global platform and processes
- Managing assigned product features life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria for new products and product enhancements
- Work with the Development team as they create technical specs based on business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Participate in product planning and prioritization to ensure key roadmap commitments are delivered on time and within scope
- Assist Business Development and Operations teams with pre- and post-release activities, including go to market planning and execution
- Conduct customer research and exploratory data analyses to gain a deep understanding of stakeholder needs
Required Experience and Expertise
- Ability to produce deliverables both independently and in cross-functional teams to ensure deadlines are met
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize clearly, effectively manage multiple commitments, and lead multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Strong Project Management and cross-team collaboration skills, experience working with contracted development teams helpful
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey product concepts clearly and effectively to all levels of an organization. Experience presenting to Executive Team Leaders a plus.
- Experience with Agile SDLCs and utilizing JIRA and Confluence to manage product deliverables
- Critical thinking/analytical leadership experience
- Flexibility in adapting to changes in strategic direction and/or priorities
- Exceptional interpersonal, relationship management and organizational skills
- An understanding of financial institutions and/or transaction processing is a plus
- Exposure to Design Thinking is a plus
- Experience utilizing quantitative analysis to help drive data driven product decisions
Education and Experience
- 3-5 years of product management experience in a technology-based company that relies upon a mission critical, high availability, high throughput system
- Experience with Agile SDLCs and understanding the role product plays within Scrum teams
- Moderate Experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Experience working on high priority, fast-paced initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in relevant required, Master's degree is a plus
- Experience with Statistics, SQL, and Machine Learning is a plus
