EPIC Clinical Application Support Analyst II for Cadence/Prelude/Welcome - Houston, TX (Finance)
We are looking for an EPIC Clinical Application Support Analyst II who will primarily work with Cadence/Prelude/Welcome. This employee p rovides advanced functional and technical user support for clinical applications and/or billing applications to ensure that the applications meet business needs. Facilitates optimal application system setup along with successful integration of EHR and/or billing application upgrades, enhancements, and business critical modifications; and provides recommendations and design proposals to management. Ensures system changes follow change management procedures and protocols, creates and maintains all documentation for all assigned applications and develop plans and executes testing for supported applications. Ideal candidates will have s ignificant build & support experience in Cadence, Prelude and Welcome . You must have the ability to perform activities/projects independently and autonomously, also able to work with others in a team environment. Direct interaction with other team members and end users in order to understand complex business problems and help identify solutions.
This is a full time position with UTHealth that will report to an office in the heart of the Texas Medical Center. Position Key Accountabilities:
1. Provides in depth support, development and maintenance of functional and technical business processes for the Practice Management (PM) and/or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
2. Solicits feedback and guidance of best practices from senior analysts, implementing processes as agreed upon by all parties.
3. Gathers and translates end user requirements and issues into application solutions that satisfy the customer's needs.
4. Resolves system problems over the phone with emphasis on troubleshooting ability.
5. Participates in IT build, implementation, upgrades, training and support activities for full life cycle of system deployments, and for new clinics/providers added to existing practices.
6. Provides proactive resolution of issues, responding to customer requests and changes while on site working with healthcare providers in the milieu.
7. Responsible for documenting and updating existing material for reference needs.
8. Stays current with the system and/or application as well as interfacing with appropriate department and external analyst.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
Excellent communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. High level of patience, empathy and courtesy. Strong knowledge of MS Office products. Strong computing, analytical and organizational skills
EPIC certification required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire date.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; or relevant experience in lieu of education.
Minimum Experience:
Three (3) years of experience in clinical applications support, preferably 2 years of experience with EPIC Care and/or Resolute PB as well as experience in clinical setting either inpatient/outpatient and/or Revenue Cycle.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
