Are you a team player with a passion for recruiting?  We have an opening for a recruiter who will will support the HR Recruiting Team by completing resume reviews, phone screens, and coordinating interviews and support basic administrative functions. Some activities may include reahcing out to community partners to post jobs on their web or office sites, coordinating and attaending career fairs and other creative recruiting stragegies.

Who are we?

We are the Affiliated Distributor for E. & J. Gallo Winery based out of Hayward, CA.  We have Sales Teams, Managers, HR, Operations (Customer Service, Warehouse, and drivers) that all work out of our building to get our wine and spirits products out and into the stores.

What you will do:

  • Schedules candidate interviews using MS Outlook.
  • Develops candidate interview agendas; ensures that the hiring manager and the candidate receive all of the appropriate information in advance of the candidate visit.
  • Reviews candidate applications and conducts phone interviews with qualified candidates.
  • Coordinates travel arrangements for out of town candidates; collects and processes candidate expenses.
  • Processes and tracks candidate background checks.
  • Coordinates the scheduling of drug screening and medical/physical examinations; reports results to the appropriate recruiter before the candidate begins employment.
  • Opens job postings in the Pathfinder database and applicable websites.
  • Generates Offer for Employment letters; verifies that the offer letters reflect the agreed terms of hire.

What you will need:

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of administrative assistant/department assistant, department coordinator or customer service experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint at a basic level; MS Outlook at an intermediate level.

What will set you apart:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in human resources.
  • Knowledge of all full lifecycle recruiting concepts.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Experience using server-based applicant tracking system, preferably PeopleSoft.
