Summary:
Process multiple country payrolls in Latin America and ensure funding occurs in a timely, accurate manner. Responsible for ensuring all reports, audits, and taxes are completed and compliant with country specific legislation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage payroll processing schedule for multiple countries in Latin America (LATAM) and ensure deadlines are met.
Verify deductions for stock tax calculations, garnishments, LATAM social security, income tax, etc. and ensure they are applied accurately in each assigned country's payroll.
Report payroll changes to payroll providers through various platforms for processing of bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly payrolls.
Audit payroll calculations by processing lateral payroll cycles for all payrolls to ensure accuracy and compliance with country specific regulations.
Maintain all country specific reporting including year-end reimbursements.
Process commissions, discretionary bonuses, gym reimbursements as well as, off-cycle payrolls such as profit sharing, 13th and 14th salary bonuses with proper approvals for all assigned countries.
Utilize month end close checklist per country to update vacation metrics, gym reimbursements, sick leave, government reporting sites, and maintain international payroll department back up files.
Act as liaison between employees and local payroll providers.
Research and respond to inquiries by employees, managers or external sources providing input and guidance for resolution of payroll related issues.
Regularly review and update payroll procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency of processes.
Communicate issues and/or irregularities to the International Payroll Supervisor in a timely manner.
Have the ability to multitask and prioritize payroll requirements based on tight deadlines, and the ability to communicate with all employees and management, as needed.
Maintain records of employee participation to various country incentives i.e. IRTRA.
Research and follow guidelines to ensure payroll compliance with specific country laws.
Provide payroll back up support for other International Payroll Specialists as necessary.
Assist with International HR/Payroll related projects as requested.
Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study with 2+ years' experience of domestic and/ or multinational payroll process, or 4+ years' experience of domestic and/ or multinational payroll process.
Demonstrated knowledge and advanced proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.
Experience working with Latin America and Brazil preferred.
Experience with foreign currency transactions preferred.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos.
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in English and Spanish required; Portuguese a plus.
Ability to provide clear, concise and professional communication to employees at all levels across the organization.
Ability to use multiple channels or means to communicate important messages (i.e. memos, meetings, electronic mail).
Attention to detail. Ability to develop accurate written and electronic materials.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as exchange rate conversion, discounts, proportions, percentages, area and volume.
