Position Description KMS is seeking a Process Engineer with 1-3-year experience in Water and Wastewater Filtration and Membrane Bioreactor (MBR). The position is for our headquarters in Wilmington, Massachusetts to support our growth in the municipal and industrial water and wastewater markets. The position will report to the Process Engineering Manager. The primary responsibilities of this position will include:
Conducting process design work for commercial water and wastewater treatment filtration processes using UF and RO membrane technology. This will involve the design and specification of filtration systems, selection of the treatment conditions, development of P&ID, controls philosophy and control sequences.
Providing process guidance to Field Service Engineers for startup and troubleshooting of full scale plants and pilot systems, participating in on-site commissioning of commercial plants and assisting in training of the end user's operators.
Developing test protocols for field pilots for the purpose of obtaining performance data for commercial opportunities. Completing field test projects by preparing comprehensive reports to be used for both internal and external purposes.
Writing and presenting technical papers and seminars for potential end users, engineering companies and OEMs around the world who are interested in purchasing KMS water and wastewater treatment systems.
BS degree in Chemical, or Environmental Engineering, from an accredited college or university is required.
Advanced level skills in the Microsoft Office product suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to travel up to 30% of your time on average, when needed.
Willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds
1-3-year experience working with ultrafiltration membrane systems with primary focus of water and wastewater treatment.
1-3-year experience working with RO membranes including simulations, water chemistry and antiscalant dosing calculations.
Experience in working with wastewater simulation models such as BioWin.
Hands on experience working on the startup and troubleshooting of full scale commercial water and wastewater filtration or MBR treatment plants and pilot systems.
Desire to be an innovator and major contributor to help solve the world's water shortage.
