Staff Accountant (Finance)
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The position will report to the Accounting Supervisor who, in turn, reports to Director, Agency Finance Controls.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accounting & Financial Reporting:
o Review General Agency (GA) Financial Statements for compliance with company requirements.
o Review Agency general ledger account reconciliations (e.g. Bank Reconciliations, AP/AR sub ledgers)
o Perform analytical review and research procedures (e.g. identify, document and resolve issues)
o Provide accounting services for company owned agencies or GAs
o Assist with remediating internal audit agency recommendations
• Customer Support:
o Assist agencies with technical accounting and accounting software questions
o Meet/Exceed customer expectations through the timely response and effective communication
• Other:
o Systematically track and provide periodic updates on timeliness and quality of agency financial reports.
o Provide feedback and collaborate with the department's accounting trainers and other support areas to improve quality of service and accounting output. CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
