Research Associate II (Finance)
The incumbent is responsible for researching materials and processes. Clarifies how company policies and processes fit into daily work. Modifies existing products to meet customers' needs through the application of advance knowledge of sealants, coatings, and/or polymers. Creates new and develops alternative formulations for coatings, sealants, and/or polymers products requiring the application of complex chemistry, material and product knowledge. Interacts with customers at technical level to resolve product issues or to support product development efforts. Utilizes broad understanding of the business to identify new project/growth opportunities. Is responsible to identify external resources to solve problems where appropriate. Observes, records, investigates, duplicates, and validates successful procedures. Performs calculations and assessments to convert laboratory scale formulas to large scale processing. Communicates technical expertise and knowledge of chemical reactions and processing to plant manufacturing engineering staff.
Requires :
Must have a Master's degree in Chemistry or related discipline with at least 12 years experience in the modification and formulation of sealants, coatings, and/or polymers or a PhD with at least six years of experience in the modification and formulation of sealants, coatings, and/or polymers. Must be able to work independently in a research environment. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization in a variety of situations.
