Employee in thisposition will receive on-the-job and class room training specific to AutomatedSystems Technician (AST) activities.
This position willlearn through training to set-up, operate, maintain, and repair automatedmanufacturing equipment and all associated equipment.
This position will receivetraining on routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairactivities in specific to automated systems.
This position must havea general mechanical aptitude and demonstrate a willingness to learn,participate, and show continuing education in both hands-on and schooling.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To successfully complete the Automated Systems Technician TraineeDevelopment program the following duties and responsibilities arerequired. In each area of training, thetrainee must learn and demonstrate ability to:
Workwell and communicate effectively with co-workers other ASTs and Supervision.
Set-upand operate all automated manufacturing systems and associated equipment.
Calculateand adjust process and equipment to meet and maintain specifications andtolerances.
Conductanalysis and perform proper procedures to adjust machines to control defects.
Performroutine repair activities using specific repair and maintenance techniques andpractices.
Performpreventive maintenance tasks.
Assistother AST's to maintain troubleshoot, repair or upgrade equipment.
Performgeneral and detailed housekeeping.
Maintainlogs and records of work performed, materials and equipment used.
Help in identification,specification, and requisition equipment parts.

Highschool diploma or GED is required.
Minimumof three years manufacturing experience.
Minimumone year experience in maintenance/repair/set-up.
Posthigh school technical training in the following areas is a plus: electrical, electronics, hydraulics,pneumatics, and mechanics.
Testscore of 45 on NOCTI test 0480 Maintenance Technician.
