Parent Partner - Child & Family Services (RU819 Team) (Personal Services)
To support parents of children and youth that have serious emotional disturbance in identifying goals that promote recovery and resiliency.
To improve the operations of KMHS in support of its stated mission. To provide the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers.
Partner with parents, providers and the system in advocating for parents of children with complex behavioral and emotional challenges. Provide peer support to parents with Care teams and assist them in building a network of support. Empower families by assisting in skill-building and instilling hope.
To demonstrate recovery and serve as an ambassador providing guidance and advocacy to child and family service systems.
RESPONSIBLE TO: C&F Supervisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree preferred or a suitable combination of education and experience. Experience raising a client involved with the mental health system preferred. Minimum of two years related job experience such as assisting parents in building community and natural supports. Working knowledge of the system of care and community resources. Must possess and maintain valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle report and reliable, insured transportation.
PAY GRADE: 112
PHYSICAL CONSIDERATIONS: While performing the duties of the job, the Parent Partner is required to walk, sit, use hands and fingers, talk and listen.
