Ownership of the Climate - Distribution software, Internet of Things, and Mobile Apps support.
Plan and prioritize daily development activities for printed circuit, electronic hardware, software, and motor design functions.
Work with Business Leadership, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to identify needed products, accessories, and fill in the gaps for existing product lines.
Work closely with customers to understand requirements to meet expectations. Develop customer, application, and production support tools.
Work with agency engineers to ensure compliance with certifying agency standards. Work closely with software team to make minor modifications to existing platforms.
As a member of a small team of engineers, this person must be flexible and largely self-managed.
The individual should see where there is a need and work within the team to address it.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
3 years' experience in related field.
Customer training ability and desire to learn about applications for Regal products.
Self-directed work ethic.
A broader engineering skill set, and hands-on approach is needed.
Experience using Assembly and C or C in the development of embedded software.
Experience with C# and/or VB.NET for Windows applications.
Solid understanding of object-oriented concepts.
Ability to understand and debug existing software.
Basic electrical component knowledge.
Ability to read and understand a schematic, troubleshoot electronic circuits and components.
Basic RF knowledge.
Desired Qualifications:
Green belt trained / certified within 2 years.
Strong problem solver, team player.
Understanding safety critical design practices.
Solidworks and Altium understanding.
A non-intimidating ability to educate customers on our technical products and processes and resolve application issues.
A positive, can-do, whatever-it-takes attitude is desired.
Excellent people skills.
2 years of experience in software development.
Experience with Java, Objective-C, or Swift for mobile development.
