MANAGEMENT CONCEPTS
Senior Copywriter (Media)
Senior Copywriter
At Management Concepts, we tell a lot of great stories - about the government-focused training solutions we provide, about our expertise in understanding the needs of our customers, about the careers we help define through the training and development solutions they won't find anywhere else.
We want you to write the next chapter with us as our next Senior Copywriter.
While we're not an advertising agency, our Marketing Department is amping up to produce agency-level work. We want you to bring the same creativity, talent, and drive to our in-house Marketing department, to work with our team and create appropriate, dynamic marketing pieces across all marketing channels: social media, brochures, print ads, videos, television spots, websites, catalogs, and so much more. We want someone who looks at a blank page and is eager to fill it up with inspired copy, whose passion for writing drove them into this career path in the first place.
If you view copywriting as a job that merely pays the bills, this isn't the role for you.
As this is not a junior level role, the expectation is that you'll be able to seize the initiative and provide guidance and outline your ideas to junior staff - and drive those ideas across the finish line with ease. We're looking for someone with experience in the role who's looking to grow those skills to the next level. For the right candidate, this could be the role that transitions you from the individual contributor path towards management and direction.
If you're looking for someone to micromanage your every move and to hold your hand at every stage, this isn't the role for you.
Collaboration is key to the Senior Copywriter position. You'll be expected to work with our internal marketing staff on everything from events to advertising campaigns and everything in between. You'll be expected to work with internal subject matter experts and external writers to produce a weekly blog. You'll be expected to work with your manager, Director of Brand Marketing, to brainstorm solutions to campaign and marketing challenges, while consistently raising the bar on quality. It's important to note that collaboration means taking an active, rather than a passive role.
If you're looking to be an audience member rather than a key member of the band on the stage, this is the wrong role for you.
While experience in the business-to-business and/or government services spaces are beneficial, we'd rather our next Senior Copywriter have creativity and the writing prowess; we can train candidates on the B2B and our markets. You can't train talent and creativity.
Finally, while the role isn't for a project manager, you will be tasked with some project management. We're looking for candidates that are unafraid to take ownership of projects, candidates who are organized, and candidates who will see a project through to completion.
Management Concepts has adopted a hybrid work environment. In the Marketing department, that translates to one day a week in our centrally-located Tyson's Corner offices, and four days at home. While we are considering remote candidates, the expectation is that you will come into the office once a month for team building - and that you will work during 9am-5pm EST hours as your core.
Management Concepts provides measurably better solutions to our customers. We'd like for you to provide measurably better stories about those solutions. Apply today.
