Athletics Video Coordinator- Football (Finance)



The USF Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is an integral part of USF and its mission by sponsoring a diverse and nationally competitive Division I athletic program. The program serves several significant constituencies, including its student-athletes, who are students first. The most important priority of the program is the progress of the student-athletes toward graduation. Other priorities include the health, fitness and emotional development of student-athletes at USF.

Reporting to the Athletics Video Coordinator, this position coordinates and administers the operation of the video services unit in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, the videotaping of athletic events, the utilization of the computer editing facilities to prepare materials for upcoming athletic events and the production of original videos to be used for promotion, recruiting, and motivational purposes. Adheres to all NCAA, Conference, and institutional rules and regulations.MQ: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications or related field and one year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified or a combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered.

PQ: Bachelors and 2 years of experience; Must have knowledge of college football, NCAA rules governing football video areas and conference policies relating to the department; knowledge of computers and file transfer, as well as videography. Must have familiarity with XOS digital editing system

Manage workflow for highlight video storage and management while maintaining an up to date list of players and coaches video shots. Responsible for the physical set-up for videotaping of athletic events for both home and visitor cameras. Produces and edits videos of daily football practice for breakdown and study purposes utilized by coaches, players, and football quality control analysts.

Manages the creation and design of digital content in order to produce videos appropriate with USF football. Produces highlight videos for promotional recruitment and motivational use. Conceptualizes and designs, with input from coaching staff, videotaping plan with regard to camera positions and assignments.

Performs maintenance on equipment, including troubleshooting and maintenance of video equipment for on and off-site athletic events. Manages server, all personal computers, projectors, document cameras and meeting room tools used by the coaching staff and players. Responsible for equipment transport, remote A/V setup and travel for Athletic events.

Manage the creation and design of content for USF Football Video social media (Twitter) account. Content includes but not limited to graphics, templates, short form videos, gifs, vines and hype videos. Assist in the development and execution of a social media plan to promote the USF Football brand across all channels (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat etc.) that integrate with overall strategic marketing and communications plans of the Athletic Department.

Execute XOS digital network needs. Includes managing all XOS computers, projectors, document cameras, and miscellaneous meeting room tools as needed by coaching staff and players. Coordinates film exchanges in accordance with American Athletic Conference and NCAA guidelines; which includes documenting number of copies, adhering to deadlines, shipping guidelines, and formats.
