We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to: - Provide leadership for the advancement of the professional nursing practice in the inpatient and outpatient intraoperative care areas. - Collaborate with physician and nursing leaders as well as other care providers to ensure well-coordinated, multidisciplinary programs of care. Education: Minimum - Master's degree in Nursing or Master's of Science in relevant area with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Work Experience: Minimum - Three (3) years of intraoperative experience. Knowledge and experience in the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical programs. Preferred - Demonstrated clinical expertise as an advanced level practitioner in the intraoperative healthcare field Licenses and Certifications: Minimum - RN licensure in the state of Wisconsin. Basic Life Support/CPR Preferred - BLS Instructor certification. CNOR or other relevant nursing specialty Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Demonstrated success in the integration of evidence-based practice into the clinical arena - Demonstrated success in working in an environment with interdisciplinary collaboration - Knowledge of computer-assisted instruction. Basic skills in the use of word processing, databases/Microsoft Excel, and PC based presentation software. - Experience in clinical teaching within an education program or as a clinical preceptor/unit teacher - Demonstrated knowledge and ability to apply techniques necessary for clinical program evaluation, i.e. basic design and statistical analysis Physical Requirements: Light: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. W ork Schedule: 100% FTE (40 hours per week). 8 hour shifts. Monday - Friday, Day/Evening shifts. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
