Experience performing Industrial Projects required (Chemical, Pulp & Paper, Heavy Industrial)Safely plan, layout, install, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus and control equipment per NEC and customer specificationsPlan and install new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and codes with minimal to no oversightMeasure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit, using tools, such as hacksaws, porta-bands, pipe threaders and pipe benders.Pull wire through conduit, assisted by Electrician Helper(s).Splice wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, using wire strippers, twisting or otherwise splicing wires together and applying tape or terminal caps.Connect wiring to power equipment, using hand tools.Install control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels, fastening in place with screws or bolts, using hand tools and power tools.Connect power cables to equipment, such as motor, and install grounding leads.Test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components, using test instruments, such as ohmmeter, megger and oscilloscope.Observe functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and needs for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.Perform other duties as necessary

Additional Functions
Must be capable of working at elevated heights Must have the ability to distinguish color differentiation for the purpose of identifying wire colors and color-coded safety indicators. Must be knowledgeable concerning types and uses of materials, parts, and assemblies used in electrical construction throughout the plant. Must be knowledgeable concerning use of all tools, machines and other equipment involved in electrical construction.

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or EquivalencyPrefer 3-5 years experience as Commercial or Industrial Electrician
Requirements:
Arrive at work on time, as scheduled, consistently, reliably, & complete each shift Follow all safety rules and standards for the company and for the site Understand and follow Instructions from the direct supervisor

Must be capable of operating a standard 1/2-ton pick-up for occasional delivery and pick-up of materials and personnel and hold a valid, unrestricted motor vehicle operator's license issued by the state of residence, and the manual dexterity necessary to operate a standard desktop computer keyboard.
