Behavioral Health Licensed Therapist (R&D)



Job Summary:
Under the supervision of St Paul's PACE Behavioral Health (BH) Program Manager, the Behavioral Health Licensed Therapist will provide direct and indirect care services of St Paul's PACE program participants in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: individual therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention, biopsychosocial assessments, care planning, care coordination with other members of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), collaboration with outside agencies and clinical supervision of associates/interns. Additional duties include working with the Behavioral Health Program Manager in assessing programming needs, creating, implementing and obtaining outcome measures for St. Paul's PACE Behavioral Health Program.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education: Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology

Required Certifications/Licensures:

  • State of California Clinical Social Worker license OR
  • State of California Marriage and Family Therapist license OR
  • State of California Clinical Psychologist license
  • Current California Driver's License, proof of auto insurance and consistent and reliable usage of a personal motor vehicle required.

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in providing behavioral health services to older adults with mental health and substance use disorders. Experience providing behavioral health consultative services including development of behavior support/treatment plans. A minimum of one year of experience with frail/chronically ill elderly seniors. Preferred previous supervisory experience of interns/associates.

Preferred Experience:

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Experience working in an interdisciplinary team in a hospital, nursing home, residential care or community based setting
  • Experience working with individuals who have eating disorders and/or those in pain recovery
  • Trauma informed care background
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) certification
