We are seeking a User Experience Researcher with strong skills in qualitative and quantitative user research and testing methods, including product-focused lab studies, usability evaluation, contextual inquiry, surveys, interviews, focus groups, and rapid ethnography. We would like to hear from people with proven skills in generative and evaluative user research, discovering, interpreting and communicating user insights for product and software design.
Job Duties:
Work cross-functionally with design, marketing, engineering, marcomm and other related functions to plan and execute user research
Help our product design, engineering and business teams explore new opportunities, evaluate current products, and further unlock the potential of our existing services
Organize and execute research projects, using a variety of lab based and field research methods
Develop an informed view of our customers and end users and their experiences
Create, maintain, and update tools that leverage insights (persona, experience maps, service design blue prints and similar) to be used in product and design discussions
Execute toward a holistic end to end user experience approach that extends beyond the product and software use
Work with people and teams across the company to understand information gaps and needs, and use research to generate useful insights
Partner with engineers, marketers, and other technical roles to create and share research and test findings
Facilitate workshops and moderate user research / evaluation
Communicate research insights in compelling and creative ways
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors or higher in human factors, cognitive psychology, human-computer interaction, user experience design or a related field
4+ years of relevant work experience in user research and usability testing
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to communicate complex analysis and results from insight and synthesis in compelling manner to a lay audience
Excellent collaboration and teamwork attitude

Experience conducting evaluative research using a wide variety of methods, and interpreting analysis through the lens of UX, HCI, and social science
Experience conducting generative research projects from the initial key questions and participant screeners all the way through to actionable research findings and concept generation workshops with the broader team
Demonstrate rigorous approach to qualitative research analysis and synthesis using methods such as affinity mapping, grounded theory, transcript and video analysis, and rely on evidence-based findings for all research outputs
Demonstrated ability to translate research findings into actionable insights collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and define recommendations, priorities, and design direction
Experience collaborating with product managers, designers, engineers, sales and support, and others
Experience with moderating workshops and facilitating field studies
Experience working with external vendors
