Provide analysis and insight as part of a team dedicated to increasing sales and driving revenue across existing product lines and evaluating the market for new product opportunities. Responsible for the effective maintenance of established accounts working to meet customer needs. Enhance the Company's position and reputation by properly servicing and corresponding with all assigned accounts in a dependable and timely manner. Gathers and evaluates new product ideas in the context of potential, practicality, strategic planning and implications for other products. Function as a liaison between marketing and operations. Explore new ways of promoting existing products. Assist in research and development efforts to make changes to existing products to create a new product.
Work as a team to implement a marketing and sales strategy for the organization's offerings that achieves established sales or market share targets.
Collect, compile, verify, and analyze data on market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to identify market opportunities. Serve as the liaison between the Sourcing, Sales, Purchasing and other supporting departments to develop product strategy.
Collect, compile, verify, and analyze data on product performance and work with customers and recommend enhancements to existing offerings or create new products to meet customer needs. May recommend changes, improvements, or deletions to assigned product(s).
Maintain records of sales volume, revenues, and advertising costs and analyze them against forecasts to identify areas where the sales performance of the product/service needs to be improved.
Work with cross functional team to provide back-up support on marketing collateral development, new product launches, packaging development, and brand messaging that helps drive revenue and margins. Assist sales personnel in the promotion and sales of products and development of sales tools, customer training programs materials.
Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
Bachelor degree in discipline related to functional work or role with 3-5 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
Able to demonstrates ability to solve somewhat more complex problems by analyzing variables and applying appropriate solutions learned through experience and proficiency in understanding the job. Must be able to recognize anomalies and critical situations and respond appropriately.
Must be able to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co-workers at level of detail required to resolve issues of moderate complexity.
Able to apply strong functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows,or other technical tools in completing assignments. May require knowledge of or ability to quickly learn specialized software to complete work assignments. Able to demonstrate continued expertise in the primary tools or applications used in completing daily work assignments.
Requires very good communication skills with ability to state messages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others to understand.
Must be able to proactively listen to others to understand issues and situations. Must be able to clearly articulate business needs to both internal and external customers.
