Communications Specialist (Project Management)
Travels throughout district as necessary
Qualifications required:
Minimum of a four-year undergraduate degree in English, journalism, communications or related fieldWork experience in the legal field is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate will have background and experience working with law enforcement and/or prosecutorsExcellent oral and written communications skillsGood judgment and discretion, ability to represent USAO effectively in a variety of settingsFive years hands-on experience using standard software programs such as the Microsoft Office Professional suiteKnowledge of and facility with social media platformsExperience writing speeches, articles, FAQs, newsletters, reports, briefing papers, presentations, talking points or other communication productsMust have good communication and organizational skills, the ability to deliver highest quality work under pressure, and knowledge of software used by the USAO (or the ability to acquire knowledge about the USAOs computer systems).Must have the ability to prove U.S. citizenship and that the contractor personnel meet the Department of Justice residency requirements.
Background and Screening: Candidates must be able to favorably complete a government background investigation and meet DOJ residency requirements.
Hours of Operation: The contractor will generally perform the services required under this contract within a 40 hour work/week, Monday through Friday.
