Control & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military, commercial and industrial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of Pratt & Whitney engine control and diagnostic system development including: requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, and product software design, verification & validation. We integrate the control and diagnostic system design across other engine system modules and with the air vehicles and provide support throughout the complete engine product life cycle.

As a member of a dynamic engineering organization, these positions offer a candidate an excellent opportunity to apply multidisciplinary engineering skills in the development of complex engine control systems and software.
Job responsibilities include a wide range of exciting and challenging activities which involve application of fundamental engineering principles in the analysis of engine system operating requirements and the development of engine control and diagnostic systems. Candidates should have successfully demonstrated analytical skills to solve complex control, diagnostic and/or software system problems and the ability to work at the implementation level.
The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary/multi-project team environment focused on developing and certifying mission critical embedded systems.
Control & Diagnostic Systems is seeking energetic candidates who have a minimum of a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Engineering, with formal coursework in such areas as control theory, systems modeling, software design, and embedded systems. Advanced degree candidates, candidates with relevant experience, and candidates with co-op or intern experience are given special consideration.
