Vice President - Print Strategy (Sales)



Position Summary:

The Vice President of Print Strategy will work with the SVP, and Sr. Leadership to set the strategic direction for the print segment while maintaining and growing Vericast's market position. The VP will also lead a team to support the Sales Groups in their effort to retain and grow revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement internal and external strategies to maintain and grow print revenue.
    • Lead efforts to measure and model the success of strategic initiatives and Shared Mail campaigns
    • Create the Vericast Print story to be used in market to drive profitable revenue growth for the company
    • Partner with the SVP of Sales, Sales Leaders, Sellers and Client Strategy to drive growth opportunities, organizational capabilities, strategies, concepts, and solutions
    • Design and lead assigned projects and initiatives - work cross-functionally to ensure all relevant functions are coordinated and collaborating
    • Manage to conclusion projects and initiatives and ensure timelines are established and met
    • Work with the product team and provide expertise to drive the segment narrative
    • Partner with and Marketing to provide expertise on competitive landscape and positioning with cross-functional consideration
    • Increase the brand and name recognition in the industry of Vericast. Utilize speaking engagement opportunities, become involved in recognized industry committees/meetings/forums, etc.
  • Manage and mentor team:
    • Support the Teams growth and market/professional expertise,
    • Ensure all associates are meeting and exceeding performance goals and possess the knowledge of our business to effectively perform their responsibilities
    • Create a collaborative and supportive relationship with sales and internal peer groups
    • Evaluate employee knowledge and skill gaps to ensure they are receiving any training/upskilling needed
    • Address performance concerns in a timely and effective manner
    • Develop and mentor associates toward individual career goals
Education & Knowledge :
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in the fields of Business, Marketing, or Communications; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience / Skills and Competencies:
  • 13+ years of working experience in print media, advertising, sales and/or partnership development
  • 6+ years of Project, Program Management or internal Client Strategy experience
  • Demonstrated experience with print media, advertising metrics, and industry trends (Direct Response marketing, data and technology solutions, ad-tech, partnerships)
  • Knowledge across multiple verticals (ie: Grocery, Retail, Restaurant, CPG, and Consumer Services) is required
  • Experience managing and developing people is highly desired
  • Develop strategic plans that successfully drive revenue
  • Demonstrate ability to influence to action and work cross-functionally. Awareness of industry trends
  • Detail-oriented and diligent work ethic with excellent organizational, project/time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with demonstrated mastery of presenting innovative solutions to client business challenges and internal communications platforms (PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience leading cross functional teams and working groups with the ability to influence various levels of management.
  • Ability to excel in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires a fast learning, flexible thinking, and demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Must be a solutions-oriented problem solver, strategic thinker, and team player
  • Influencer on key decision makers
  • Adapt to change; including the market, products and internal company initiatives
  • Organized, detail-oriented and thorough approach to all responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com and MicroSoft Office

Communication & Contacts (Internal/External) :
  • Communication with sales leadership, sales associates and support departments - all levels of management, business leadership, customers, suppliers and other internal/external entities as required
  • Effective at presentations

Decision Making Scope :
  • Determine course of action and make appropriate recommendations to Sr. Leadership
  • Regularly exhibits broad conceptual judgment and deals with complex factors

Other :
  • Travel required. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Base Salary Range: $170,000-$185,000

Position is eligible for bonus/variable compensation

The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
