Senior Project Manager - Transportation Market (Finance)

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior TSM&O Project Manager to provide oversite and guidance for client traffic incident management services and operation programs. This person will interact with clients in a leadership role including leading and attending appropriate meetings and other necessary duties. May involve developing status updates and monthly reporting, both internal and external.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and assist managing client transportation management programs.
  • Organize and lead statewide strategic Traffic Incident Management (TIM) activities such as delivering SHRP2 and/or other first responder training, leading coordination activities between client and stakeholders (at a statewide and regional level), and supporting the maintenance of TIM strategic and training plans.
  • Directs project teams and client compliance with contract terms, memorandums of understandings, performance metric expectations, and contractual commitments.
  • Monitors reports and schedules to ensure appropriate actions are communicated to the project teams and clients.
  • Collects and analyzes data and performance metrics; prepares reports and makes program enhancement recommendations; and acts proactively to improve safety outcomes and program performance statewide.
  • Oversee the coordination and work projects of TIM analysts, engineers, and other resources to ensure continuity of operations when stationed resources are limited.
  • Review current and planned projects
  • Coordinate software installation and configuration
  • Coordinate with state and local agency traffic operations staff
  • Coordinate with event management and first responder personnel
  • Oversee the development of traffic engineering studies
  • Reporting of operational performance measures and program level metrics
  • Asset management of client infrastructure and support activities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in field(s) of practice with 15 years of experience. This level may be achieved with 20 years' experience in law enforcement, incident management, fire services, and/or emergency response
  • Contract management and staff management experience.
  • GDOT project experience is a must.
  • Advanced knowledge and skill in technical writing and producing technical reports.
  • Skill in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships.
  • May be required to support client with project activities outside of normal business hours.
