Job Description
This classification is responsible for all Printing Press functions in the facility. Position will perform carton stacking in the converting department, cleaning and sanitation work in accordance with external quality audit standards, product inspection, sorting, packaging and product identification, tagging and labeling of individual pallets, logging of information pertaining to production reporting and tracking, and the stocking of supplies as needed on the manufacturing floor. Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
1. Work safely at all times following all safety rules, procedures
and policies
2. Stand for 8 to 12 hours during the shift, combined with stopping
for short breaks
3. Lift 25 to 50 lbs. consisting of paper waste, pallets, buckets
of ink, other materials
4. Bending, twisting and reaching during the shift
5. Use of manual and automated lift equipment
6. Monitor production process and carrying out all quality checks
7. Report safety issues to appropriate staff immediately
8. Maintain safe, clean working environment by complying with
procedures, rules and regulations
9. Prepare work areas for production
10. Complete quality process verifications using established procedures.
11. Prepare skids for stacks by making sure paper barriers are
present and stocking the barriers for use on the top and bottom of the skid
12. Help the Operator/Assistant when a make-ready takes place by
removing and replacing ink buckets, changing out skids, and placing
identification flags on completed skids
13. Stacking cartons during the production run and completing all
quality checks before placing materials onto the skid
14. Cleaning and sorting during production downtimes
15. Start and stop equipment as needed using controls and switches
16. Handle and move manual lift carts
17. Identify and remove defective product from production based on
quality standard parameters
18. Communicate effectively with Operator, Quality Inspector, and Team
Leaders
19. Other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
Education, Skills, and/or Experience Required
1. High School Diploma or Equivalent
2. Manufacturing experience and familiarity working with machines
3. High levels of physical agility, mobility and endurance
4. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and experience using tools
5. Sound judgment and decision making
6. Basic math and computer skills required
7. Excellent attendance and demonstrated commitment to excellent
job performance
8. Ability to detect colors and shades, color-blindness is a
disqualifier
9. Attention to detail
10. Ability to read, write and follow instructions
11. Takes the initiative and does not require excessive supervision
12. Demonstrates teamwork and cooperation in accomplishing all tasks
13. Willingness to work weekends and different shifts as needed
Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands:
1. Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, squat 8 to 10 hours a day
2. Must wear all necessary safety equipment
3. Must be able to work on manufacturing production floor
4. Operate Production Equipment
5. Use of manual and automated lift equipment
6. Stand for 8 to 12 hours during the shift, combined with stopping

7. Work rotating shifts and occasional overtime
8. Lift 25 to 50 lbs.
9. Stack cases weighing up to 45 lbs.
