Sports Local Sales Manager, KTNV/KMCC - Scripps Sports (Creative Design)
Ready to lead a dynamic sales team in the exciting world of sports broadcasting? Scripps Sports in Las Vegas is seeking an energetic and strategic Local Sales Manager to drive revenue through multi-platform advertising solutions. This is an extraordinary opportunity to work directly with the Las Vegas Golden Knights and Las Vegas Aces as part of our exclusive broadcasting partnerships! You'll collaborate with local businesses to develop innovative advertising campaigns across OTT video, social media, digital display, email targeting, broadcast television, and high-impact sports sponsorships.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Collaborate with Senior Director of Sales (DOS) and other sales managers to accomplish station objectives regarding Scripps Sports team sales and sponsorships
Help negotiate ratings, rates and budgets for sports with local station leadership
Develop new business utilizing and maximizing all station platforms including broadcast, digital, mobile, and sponsorships
Assist Account Executives on key client sales calls for sports sponsorships
Develop working knowledge of local sports landscapes and leagues
Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Sales Managers to train, develop and motivate the local sales team to achieve revenue goals for sports budgets
Maintain positive working relationships with outside vendors
Interface with traffic systems and personnel to ensure efficient management of airtime inventory
Know the strengths and weaknesses of competing stations and other advertising mediums to position the station accordingly
Effectively forecast sports sales revenue and manage department expenses to achieve financial goals
Build and maintain strong client relationships, including entertaining prospective and existing clients and attending sporting events
Collaborate with Scripps Senior Director Sports Revenue to support the local station
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience
Generally 8+ years of experience in related field preferred
Prior managerial experience preferred
Experience in Sports Business Sales on League, Team, or Media side with a proven track record exceeding revenue goals

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Driving required. Valid Driver's License, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits
