Description
Perform daily laboratory tasks to complete engineering project assignments. Effectively communicate the status of project assignments to co-workers, management and engineers. Use good judgment to manage risk and solve problems. This position will perform compressor component testing in accordance with test procedures and instructions provided by Applied Mechanics project engineers. Work in a laboratory environment to support compressor component qualification testing by operating hydraulic fatigue testing machines, shaker testing machines, and compressor test stands. Perform basic/intermediate level strain gauging and compressor instrumentation work. Collect test data to a computer. Calibrate and maintain equipment. Work with management to develop skills set, write procedures and train others in the department on procedures.
