01QI45 - Aerospace Quality Inspector (Project Management)
Provides premier service for Account Managers by ensuring shipments meet delivery commits
Monitors assigned job tickets for good documentation practices and full conformance to material traceability compliance
Performs final inspection and first article inspection on aerospace panels and marker parts.
Inspects for visual, cosmetic, graphic, dimensional characteristics and color requirements
Interprets and inspects according to drawings, specifications and color standards using calipers and other inspection tools
Records inspection results on job tickets and First Article Inspection reports using AS9102, or equivalent form
Assists with coordinating and maintaining organized and accurate contract inventory
Supports shipping processes and procedures, and identifies improvement opportunities.
Informs Supervisor of production and material problems in a timely manner, and assists Supervisor in coordinating with other departments to resolve problems affecting schedules.
Capable of working within changing deadlines to meet delivery commitments
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
At least 3 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with quality systems standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO9001, etc.) Lean concepts
Required Skills:
Geometric Dimentioning & Tolerancing (GD&T): ability to read, interpret and deliver standard training of mechanical drawings and blueprints
Inspection, Measuring & Test Equipment (IMTE): ability to use and deliver standard training of the use and application of precision measuring devices
Ability to perform product inspection and determine conformance to requirements
Competent with computer applications and proficient in MS Office software tools
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality at all times
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Reading comprehension, understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
Strong math and analytical skills
Strong decision making skills
Ability to plan and organize work activities with a focus on efficiency
Ability to work under time constraints with changing priorities
Must be able to follow directions and work in a team environment
