Laboratory Technician (Finance)
The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for performing research experiments, designing experiments, and interpreting and presenting data. As such, the incumbent must exhibit strengths in the conduct and execution of scientific projects as well as managerial foresight. The Laboratory Technician will be involved in the collection, analysis and, storage of human and mouse samples, including routine processing of these samples. Additional responsibilities include:
- Performing experimental surgeries, such as stereotactic inoculation of tumor cells in the brain and stereotactic delivery of oncogenes that induce brain tumor, on rodents and administration of drug therapies
- Performing and evaluating tumor size on rodents and preparation of tumor and immune cells for therapy models
The individual will also be responsible for other lab management-related duties, including but not limited to, lab protocol submission, lab safety, facility inspection, lab database construction and maintenance, ordering reagents and supplies, and other duties as assigned. Meticulous work habits, dependability, and good communication skills are required. Will be required to work some evenings and weekends.
PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required as a condition of employment.
