Dental Sterilization Technician (Finance)
Clean and sterilize equipment according to OSHA standards. Utilize heavy nitrile gloves when scrubbing equipment
Organize instruments inside cassettes during sterilization, audit and log instruments that need to be replaced
Organize burs, routinely maintain an order list
Clean and maintain dental equipment used for treatment ie: endodontic equipment, implant equipment, digital x-ray sensors
Prepare procedure trays and treatment rooms using aseptic techniques, based on the daily schedule
Record sterilizer test results, sending results to supporting evaluation company
Stock and organizing inventory in 14 dental treatment rooms
Clean and sterilize dental operatory rooms as needed
Sterilize all instruments for the next day
Provide administrative support as needed
Operate and update maintenance logs for ultrasonic machine, autoclaves, and other sterilizing equipment
Check lab cases routinely, maintain communication with lab to reassure cases are delivered on time
Abide by industry best practices (e.g. proper PPE, ergonomic posture, etc.) to maintain a safe working environment; report safety issues or concerns to your supervisor or the Safety Officer immediately; review Safety and Health plans, understand, and ask questions regarding safe practices in work areas.
