Continuous Improvement Engineer (Engineering)

We are looking for an experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer for our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. Position can be based in McElhattan, PA; Lewistown, PA; or King of Prussia, PA.
This position will lead and implement continuous improvement workforce development initiatives at all Absorbent Hygiene sites (McElhattan, PA; Lewistown, PA; King of Prussia, PA; and Macon, GA). These include Centerlining, Pinning, Run to Target, SMED, LEAN, Six Sigma, 5s, maintenance best practices, and other productivity improvement efforts that ensure we are the highest quality lowest cost producer in the market.
Primary responsibilities include:
Works closely with the Director of Continuous Improvement to support cross-functional/company projects and initiatives for the Ab-Hy division.
Focused on efficiency improvements and scrap reduction through continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinates overall centerlining, pinning, and run to target efforts.
Implements vision system standardization and calibration tools for all sites.
Implements SMED and Kaizen events.
Provides LEAN and Six Sigma services and project coordination.
Implements 5s standardization.
Promotes safe practices and environmental commitments, aligning with the companies commitments in this area in all aspects of work performed.
Recommends and manages outside contractors as needed to support workload.
Develops proposals, budgets, CERs, and ereq recommendations as needed.
Requires 50% travel to First Quality sites and suppliers.
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
Has either a BS degree in engineering related discipline or equivalent high-speed manufacturing experience in absorbent hygiene industry.Preference is for industrial engineering background.
LEAN certification preferred.
Black Belt/Six Sigma certification preferred.
5s training preferred.
Exceptional analytical problem solver and has training in SPC and DOE with demonstrated successes applying these principles.
Proven track record of implementing new systems and procedures.
Has strong personal computer proficiency with MS office, statistics, and design of experiments software.
Excellent communication skills both oral and written with executive presence.
