GROCERY MDSG/SET-UP MANAGER (Finance)



Collaborate with division Merchandising and KOMPASS coordinator to maximize store sales by meeting/exceeding diverse customer needs through the implementation of strategic product placement. Implement company standardized product placement and work collaboratively with internal and external associates in the execution of store product plan-o-grams. Generate correct store merchandise plans (schematics) that maximize profitability through the most effective use of space, while maintaining presentation standards and divisional strategies. Provide detailed analyses utilizing various information sources to provide Category Manager(s) with effective decision models for space optimization. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.Based in Portland, Oregon, Fred Meyer merged with The Kroger Company in 1998.   • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass drug test
  • Ability to work weekends on a frequent basis
  • Accuracy/attention to detail
  • Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects
  • Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes
  • Computer experience
  • Ability to travel independently on an occasional basis
  • Valid driver's license

Desired
  • BA/BS in computer science or related field plus three-five years food manager experience; or combination of relevant education and experience
  • Perishable Category Manager experience
  • Corporate Merchandising experience
  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and organizational structure
  • Negotiations, buying, and/or customer service experience
  • Experience directing and participating on project teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, Report Management and Distribution System (RMDS)
  • Model "Customer 1st" behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
  • Coordinate resources to execute efficient (re)sets, remodels and shelf management for diverse products to provide the shopping experience that meets/exceeds customers' expectations
  • Identify and implement best practices for shelf management, timely placement of new items, discontinued items, and markdown programs
  • Provide feedback to KOMPASS coordinator to verify product mix that meets/exceeds customers' expectations
  • Serve as communication channel to KOMPASS coordinator; provide feedback on issues and opportunities with the various sets
  • Develop and broaden the skills necessary to accept greater levels of responsibility within the division
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
