Position Summary Goodwill Industries Monocacy Valley, a leader in workforce development services, is seeking a Lister. This position performs a variety of duties in support of the Ecommerce department which includes but is not limited to sorting, evaluating, staging, photographing, and listing donated and new goods on the ShopGoodwill site and other software platforms as assigned. This position start date is expected to be Monday, May 11, 2020. Duties and Responsibilities Assists in unloading acceptable donations, determine resale quality and value, and sort donations according to requirements Utilizes precious metal analyzers and presidium gem tester Prepare props, mannequin, and backdrop placement Handling and adjusting photography lighting kit and tri-pod stand Utilize DSLR camera, take multiple photos, upload, and touch up photos to bring out quality and value of items List items accurately, comprehensively, with little to no typos or spelling errors using appropriate software platforms Proofread all item descriptions for clarity, spelling, and grammar to establish templates for common items to speed up listing process Research specialty items to ensure proper descriptions to maximize exposure and value Familiarity with market value and competitors in relative categories Assist in training and development of employees Utilize hydraulic tipper for transporting materials Dispose of trash and cardboard Achieve goals established by Ecommerce Lead or Manager Abide by policies and procedures within Goodwill Industries and those specified for Ecommerce and ShopGoodwill standards Comply with safety standards and regulation Keep work station neat and organized Work flexible schedule based on the needs of the business Other duties as assigned Qualifications Good verbal and written communications Must be 18 years of age or older Basic computer navigation and knowledge of Microsoft applications Knowledge of collectibles and/or antiques a plus Experience selling online is a plus Experience with DSLR camera or photography and staging equipment a plus Able to communicate effectively Strategic innovative thinking, solid judgement, and problem solving skills Ability to obtain certification for forklift and/or pallet jack operation Must be able to work flexible hours Must be able to pass a background and drug screen Able to perform functions with or without special accommodation Working conditions Warehouse environment May be exposed to dust, debris, animal hair, and any number of allergens Items donated may be textile, glass wares, electronics, books, media, furniture, plastics or any variation. Consistently moderate noise level Tolerance of extreme changes in temperature and humidity Physical requirements Lifting and carrying up to 40lbs without assistance/ up to 100lbs with assistance Developed fine motor control (grasp, handle, manipulate objects with fingers) Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, stopping, squatting, pushing; climbing ladders; standing for long periods of time Able to travel across a variety of surfaces (stairs, ramps, uneven terrain) Ability to tolerate different temperature variations in working environment Direct reports This position does not have direct reports.
