Responsibilities
Provide Regulatory Support for Global Product Development Projects
Execute strategy and provide regulatory support and input for the development of new Lysol and Harpic formulations in various countries around the world, with a focus on North America, Europe and India. Deliver projects and other initiatives to progress current product portfolio by providing regulatory direction and support to stakeholders:
• Work under guidance of line manager to provide regulatory input on a portfolio of assigned projects
• Collaborate with Global Marketing and R&D teams to scope and define project objectives
• Collaborate with the various Local Regulatory groups to define the regulatory requirements, strategy and timings for each country.
• Collect and collate required regulatory data and documents of the product core dossier/technical file relating to projects. Working with the dossier/technical file authors to ensure consistency and 'right first time' approach.
• Review regulatory compliance of raw materials and formulations
• Review product labeling, claims and supporting materials.
Assess Impact of New Regulations and Guidances
Keep informed of relevant regulations affecting Lysol / Harpic / Sagrotan in the priority markets. Work with stakeholders to implement requirements within specified timelines. Assess and communicate all requirements to stakeholders to maintain compliance without delay to business due to regulatory issues.
Support Infrastructure and Systems Integration
Contribute to supporting a high quality and effective infrastructure to meet the regulatory requirements which support the launch of associated products. Execute systems integration for optimal functionality and use. Contribution to infrastructure (processes, procedures, systems etc.) to be made within agreed timelines. Deliver project and brand specific activities ensuring they are correct, complete and on-time.
Gain Understanding of Legislative and Regulatory Climate
Understand how governments operate in key RB markets and key touch points RB can access to influence policy development. Monitor and gain an understanding of new policies and their impact on existing products and project objectives. Review trade association materials, news articles, government publications, etc. to gain an understanding of trends and opportunities. Contribute to the Regulatory Intelligence system.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
• BA/BS degree in the natural sciences (preferred).
• A minimum of 0-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with consumer cleaning products and/or biocides (preferred). Experience from related product groups (e.g. Cosmetics, Ag-Chem, Pharma) will also considered.
• Experience in consumer products industry (highly preferred).
• High attention to detail and good organization skills
• Ability to build and maintain effective networks and working relationships with cross functional teams to meet business objectives
• Ability to work with uncertainties and effect innovative solutions to diverse regulatory requirements
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong negotiating, influencing and interpersonal skills
• Results oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivated
• Business language is English
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office suite)
