The Department of English at Saint Anselm College, a Roman Catholic undergraduate liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition in Manchester, NH invites applications for an adjunct faculty position to begin in the fall 2020 semester. The successful candidate will teach EN105 (“Freshman English”), which is the single four-credit writing requirement for all first year students and includes instruction in the process approach to writing expository prose as well as the research paper. Submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, evidence of teaching ability, and academic transcripts to the attention of Dr. Meoghan Cronin, Director of College Writing, via the college website at www.anselm.edu/hr. Three letters of recommendation are required and should be submitted in PDF format via email to the Dean's Office, at dean@anselm.edu. Applications will be reviewed as they are received and until the position is filled.
Required Skills:
The successful candidate must have at least a Master's degree in English, Writing, or Composition and Rhetoric.
Required Experience:
Candidates should have substantial experience teaching first-year writing courses at the college level.
Successful candidates will be able to assist the college to further its strategic goals for institution-wide diversity and inclusiveness.
