The Job Details are as follows:
This position is responsible for supporting the marketing activities for OCLC End User services (Currently, FirstSearch, WorldCat Local, WorldCat Discovery Services, and QuestionPoint). Working with the product marketing manager and product management staff, the successful candidate will develop go-to-market strategies and tactical marketing plans for current and future products.
Understand the customer: Collaborate with product marketing manager in coordinating and documenting input from buyers and users of OCLC products through relevant user groups and/or advisory groups, win/loos analysis and market research activities.
Differentiate the product: Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates OCLC services in the market to buyers and users of services.
Launch new products and maintain awareness for existing products: Develop go-to-market plans to support the launch of new OCLC products and maintain awareness of enhancements to existing services through appropriate communication channels for primary buyer and user audiences. Coordinate marketing across related lines of business as appropriate.
Support sales success: Communicate value propositions of OCLC services to the sales team and develop sales tools that support the selling process to a range of segments within the library community.
Measure effectiveness: Gather inputs and data to evaluate the impact of marketing initiatives and inform changes in marketing strategy and tactics.
