Food and Beverage Supervisor - The Drake Hotel (Finance)

The iconic Drake Hotel is seeking a full-time food and beverage supervisor to join their team! Celebrating over 100 years of elegance, the historic 535-room property is on the Magnificent Mile and in the famed Gold Coast area of shops, dining, and nightlife. It is a short walk from Oak Street Beach, Water Tower Place, and 360 Chicago!

The Drake is favored for weddings in the Gold Coast Room and home to the iconic Palm Court for afternoon tea, once visited by Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Diana! Coq D'oR, one of the first venues to secure a post-Prohibition liquor license, serves cocktails and comfort food. Cafe on Oak's counter is carved with the initials of Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio, and the hotel serves their favorite Eggs Benedict in their honor. Room service is available from each of othe restaurants!

This position will support the Palm Court tearoom 2 to 3 days a week and the Coq D'oR lounge 2 to 3 days per week, overseeing a team of as many as 10 union hosts, bartenders and servers. The ideal candidate for this position will have a great attitude, as well as previous food and beverage experience and/or a hospitality degree!

Shift Pattern: candidates should be available to workAM and PM shifts as needed, any day of the week/weekends/holidays as needed

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Restaurant Supervisor, you would be responsible for assisting management in the direction and administration of a restaurant in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Supervise, support, schedule, assign daily work, inform and train team members in all restaurant activities and operations
• Monitor, observe and assist in evaluating team member performance
• Support and assist team members in handling guest inquiries and requests and in resolving guest complaints
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
• Manage and monitor product quality and service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly
• Assist in monitoring inventory and inventory control #LI-GL1
