Marketing & Communication Strategist (Finance)
Convene and work collaboratively with YWCA staff to collect, write, and create collateral (annual report), brochures, and content for marketing initiatives, websites, social media, media use, fundraising opportunities, events, and more.
Manage traditional advertising.
Prepare presentations for meetings as needed.
Collaborate with marketing team members to create content for the purposes of promoting events, initiatives, people and accolades.
Work with the marketing team to help develop and refine internal and external email marketing messages to support development, inspire new support, and update the community about YWCA initiatives and program participation.
Ability to work with "vendors.
Analyze and track the results of marketing efforts.
Help drive public relations and develop media pitches.
Create, proofread, and disseminate press releases and advisories to traditional media outlets, as well as online.
Work with PR agency as appropriate.
Monitor the news for relevant information opportunities.
Attend evening and weekend events.
Requires the ability to walk, bend, and lift occasionally up to 10-15lbs.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Formal Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Three - five years of professional experience in marketing/communications.
Excellent written communication and proofreading skills across multiple platforms. Writing samples are required and candidates must take an on-site test.
Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain quality work.
Must work independently, as well as in teams.
Ability to create marketing collateral and scripts from scratch and take them into production.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Google Docs, etc.
Experience working with email marketing software.
Knowledge of basic public relations principles and practices; updated knowledge of media trends, platforms, and best practices.
