Before and After School Site Director/ Child care/ Mid County/ Part Time (Project Management)
POSITION SUMMARY: This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Support planning and coordination of program and its activities. 2. Ensure implementation and compliance of YMCA, State and School guidelines, policies and procedures. 3. Ensure individual needs of children are met. 4. Maintain positive relationships with staff, families, school personnel and volunteers. 5. Maintain an environment that ensures children, staff and family safety and well being 6. Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that advance all areas of children's development and learning, including social, emotional, intellectual and physical competency 7. Conduct program in accordance with YMCA goals and principles of developmentally appropriate practices 8. Supervise and mentor group leaders and support staff. 9. Support program growth and development. 10. Ensure zero tolerance for abuse and actively participate in the protection of youth and teens. 11. Performs all other duties as assigned.
