Assistant Lacrosse Coach, Girls (Creative Design)



Position Summary: As an Assistant Girls' Lacrosse Coach at IMG Academy, you will play an essential role in developing high-performing student-athletes both on and off the field. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing and executing high-impact practices, skill sessions, and team meetings that drive continuous performance improvement.
  • Support individual athlete development through innovative technical, tactical, and physical training methods.
  • Collaborate on comprehensive game plans, including opponent scouting, strategic planning, and real-time coaching during competition.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model, guiding student-athletes in leadership, character development, and academic excellence.
  • Partner with integrated support teams—including strength and conditioning, nutrition, sports psychology, and medical services—to deliver holistic athlete development.
  • Contribute to recruitment strategy by identifying and evaluating top-tier talent aligned with IMG Academy's values and standards.
  • Maintain high levels of safety, discipline, and compliance in all facets of program operation.
  • Build positive relationships with families, alumni, and external partners to enhance the program's impact and reputation.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Deep knowledge of lacrosse fundamentals, game strategies, and modern training practices at the high school, club, or collegiate level.
  • Experience in strength and conditioning, injury prevention, and athlete-specific development.
  • Proficiency with video analysis tools and data-driven performance review.
  • Understanding of NCAA and academic compliance standards.
  • Strong mentoring abilities, with a passion for youth development and athlete well-being.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working in multidisciplinary environments.
  • An exceptional communicator who can inspire, teach, and lead with integrity.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., sports science, education, sports management) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven ability to coach athletes of various skill levels in both individual and team settings.
  • Background as a lacrosse player or coach at the college, club, or professional level preferred.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physically able to navigate athletic facilities, including fields and gyms, and work in outdoor conditions as needed.
