S&T Research Chemist (Finance)
Seeking an entry-level analytical to join Pittsburgh Analytical's organization. The successful candidate must be able to assist in sample preparation, data acquisition, reporting and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation.
Main Activities/Duties/Responsibilities
Functional and Technical Skills
Candidates must have familiarity with analytical work. Attention to detail through careful sample preparation and instrument operation is critical. Some instrumentation may include: Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Mass Spectrometry (MS) techniques as well as Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA). Previous experience is desirable but not required.
The ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with customers is crucial. Therefore, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to effectively write reports and give presentations, are required. Proficiency to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment as necessary .
Experience and Education
BS graduate in chemistry and 0-5 years of experience. Previous laboratory experience is desired, but not required. Working closely with peers and supportive attitude towards customer needs .
