Business Intelligence Analyst (Information Technology)



JOB SUMMARY:
Primary responsibility of this position to be a subject matter expert on Salesforce and SG2 so that you can provide in-depth analysis and meaningful insights for decision makers. This position will also manage technical projects by providing technical oversight and ensure assigned projects are executed efficiently and according to project requirements and timelines. This position will work with all levels of the organization to gather reporting requirements and turn those requirements into reports that provide valuable insight to decision makers. You should also be able to develop, implement and maintain an understanding of Business Intelligence technology and architecture, including data warehousing, ETL, reporting tools, and other methods of information delivery.

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, lead, and conduct meetings with the Salesforce users to gather practical necessities to identify the Business Developments Salesforce innovation improvement and activities.Maintain Salesforce and provide in-depth analysis to the system owners.Analyze patient flow data in SG2 to identify potential business development opportunities and tie up SG2 data with Salesforce data to perform exploration of new possibilities.Investigate and understand existing workflows.Gather user requirements and a firm understanding of expected end goals/results.Discuss and propose areas for improvement will all staff involved.Create, propose, review, and optimize with all associated project members at CARTI.In conjunction with BI staff, develop and monitor ROI Metrics for each projectGenerate technical specifications documents, project plans, and wireframes necessary to coordinate execution with developersThoroughly test deliverables and provide timely notifications of bugs, discrepancies, or other issues to developers.Document the functionality of any custom applications, components, or interfaces thoroughly.Ensure project scope, budget, schedule, risk, and quality are managed and controlled.Facilitate contractors in attaining any required resources to complete the assigned project.Proactively manage and suggest solutions to project scope creep.Development using BI tools that includes writing complex SQL, designing and developing reports and dashboard using several different reporting tools.Create and maintain documentation related to the BI infrastructure/requirements.Solve complex business problems with functional, clinical, and claims data.All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Information Services or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Five (5) years experience in a healthcare business intelligence setting or related field. An appropriate combination of education, skills, and experience, can be substituted for total years;Experience performing analysis and reporting on healthcare data. Familiarity with healthcare processes, care pathways, and medical terminology.Experience in project management and knowledge in all phases of the project life cycle.Strong knowledge of business intelligence tools and techniques, relational databases, strong knowledge in web , mobile and automated process development, strong knowledge of automated reporting tools, high level of experience with SQL and electronic health records.Limited experience with UI/UX design tools, such as: Figma, Balsamiq, Adobe XD, or similar.Strong knowledge of Microsoft BI technology (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS).Professional experience developing complex ETL processes and developing complex queries using T-SQL.Strong knowledge of analytical tools and techniques to investigate data trends and issues, and to conclude data.Strong experience delivering analytics to technical, non-technical, and management teams.Strong experience developing visualizations that consume data models.Experience in all stages of BI project work (requirements, development, logical design, physical design, implementation, testing, and deployment).Knowledge of database structures, data definitions, and data relationships.Knowledge of industry-standard Business Intelligence (BI) solution tools, such as Oracle, Business Objects, Power BI, Tableau, etc.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a capacity for translating product and business needs into technical specifications.

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS
Experience in ASP.NET, C#, Web API, RESTful web services etc.Statistical modeling experience.Familiar with STATA, R, Python, MathLab, etc.Experience with SG2, Oracle Financial Reporting Studio.Experience with DevOps and Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.);Strong working knowledge of database principles, processes, technologies and tools.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Must interact and communicate both verbally and in written form.Must interact and exchange information regarding patients with physicians and other departmental personnel, and outside agencies on a frequent basis while respecting the confidentiality of patient information.
